In the footsteps of ticket #1 , TODO list of things to setup GCMv6.0 for MCDv6.0

at GCM level

  • check/tuned value of Ar/N2 etc. in reference initial conditions and verify the CO2 cycle
  • scavenging of dust & water by CO2 condensation
  • orographic GW (re-)tuning
  • non-orographic GW tuning
  • super-cycling of chemistry?
  • sub-grid slope winds

related tasks

  • re-create climatology/cold/warm scenarios based on MY24->MY34 observations
  • what do we do for global dust storms simulations? Impose dust opacity =5 like before (dust injection with a target of tau=5 caused problems for MCDv6.0alpha)?
  • Improve the MCD software (make it a module/library)?
