Description
1D model is used to test physics in a single column. However it needs a spin up time for processes such as soil temperature, with feedbacks on physics.
Adding a restart option would allow for a first spin-up simulation at a given configuration and then using this converged state to do a 1d study on a specific location for a specific period (e.g. persistance of exposed crater ice in mid latitudes).
