    55For the Mars PCM this was initiated with r3369, with the choice of introducing an "outputs_per_sol" flag (to be used instead of ecritphy).

     7For the Generic PCM the choice is to have a "diagfi_output_rate" flag because there are cases where one does not need to output as frequently as once per day. With "diagfi_output_rate" users simply state the rate of outputs, in terms of physics steps. This was implemented in r3725
